About Us

Kalita

Owner

Kalita was born in Brazil and moved to the US when she was nine years old. Growing up as an immigrant, she witnessed firsthand the spirit of entrepreneurship—working to clean houses and help friends with their businesses during summer vacations. After attending college for two years, she met her now-husband. The entrepreneurial duo went on to found West Hartford Cleaning Services. Kalita loves to helm a company where she is responsible for laying a foundation grounded in positivity and respect for all employees. Constantly working to help creativity levels soar, she loves introducing the team to new projects. When she’s not hard at work, Kalita loves to explore fresh foods, paint, and cuddle up at home with her two favorites, Filemon and Olivia.

Filemon

Owner

Filemon was born in Brazil and moved to the US when he was six years old. Ever since he can remember, he’s had a keen interest in entrepreneurship and learning new skills. Whether participating in extreme sports or engaging in door-to-door sales as a child, he learned the art of perseverance early on. Filemon launched his first business at the age of 12, giving him the confidence needed to forge ahead and explore new industries. After founding West Hartford Cleaning Services with his wife, he established multiple other businesses and enjoyed developing new functions and operational systems to facilitate their growth. A fervent fan of opera and musical theatre, Filemon enjoys cruising on his longboard and spending quality time with Kalita and Olivia.

Jessica

Office Manager

Jessica is the Office Manager for West Hartford Cleaning Services and lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She holds a business degree and has several years of experience working with people and carrying out administrative processes. She also worked as a professional cleaner while participating in a language exchange program in Ireland. Her favorite thing about WeHa Clean is the company’s drive to value employees as its greatest asset and related opportunities to learn and understand a new culture. Jessica also works as an English teacher for Brazilians and finds it very rewarding to help others learn a language that has brought her so much in life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and soaking in the beautiful Rio weather while lounging poolside.

Vitória joined our team as a Social Media Manager and Virtual Assistant. She is currently living in Campinas – SP, Brazil. Her educational background includes a Library Science degree, and she is now finishing her MBA in Digital Marketing, Business intelligence, and Data-Driven strategy. Before this, she lived in the US for two and a half years to participate in a cultural exchange program where she could also be a volunteer at a local Library in New Jersey. This experience allowed her to immerse herself in the American culture. In her free time, Vitória teaches English to Brazilians, and she loves being a volunteer for different projects. She likes to read, cook and play video games with her friends.

Guilherme

Designer

Guilherme lives in Brazil, more specifically in Criciúma, a small city in Santa Catarina, in the southern region of Brazil. He has a degree as a Building Technician, and his childhood dream profession was to be an architect. He also started a college degree in Languages – Portuguese Language but didn’t want to finish. He has also taken a web design course. His role in the company is designer. He always had this affinity for design and did some projects for some restaurant owners and new businesses, but it’s his first time working with it in a company. When Guilherme is not working he is probably playing video games which he loves the most, watching some drama movie/Tv Show or studying and learning new languages.
